Today Michael is doing much better. He is getting over the pnemonia and is taking in more fluids. He is still on a ventilator, but will hopefully be removed from it by the end of the month. He is so alert! Michael's eyes open so wide when Cane talks to him. The highlight of our week was today. Cane was singing to Michael through the incubator, and Michael SMILED! A real smile! Cane started to cry. It was the first real smile we've seen from him.
Thank all of you for your continuing prayers--not only for Michael, but for Cane and his family. At one of the lowest points in Cane's life, Michael made his entrance into this world. He has changed our lives. We love him more than I ever thought it would be possible to love someone. Your prayers and thoughts have kept Michael protected--and every day he grows and makes progress. God is amazing!
Love you all
Mel

I dont know where to start. You have both been through so much. Michael is like your little angel, isn't he? You two are the best and I love you both.
